Enhancements

Engine
The engine is a FH381 twin cylinder Kawasaki.  This engine will provide approximately double the horse power currently available in competing models which also reduces fuel demand.  The starter is powered by a UR1 battery, a standard heavy duty power equipment battery used in electric start systems.  We have had several discussions with Kawasaki’s Technical Department and have incorporated a pull start re-coil assembly for a back-up starting mode.  The engine also comes equipped with a 17 amp charging system.

Our Kawasaki engine powers the hydro-static, forward and reverse, self braking transmission via a 1/2” belt drive pulley system.  The transmission is a hydro-gear transmission.

Fuel Tank
We have developed our own pre-molded fuel tank which will hold 3.6 gallons of fuel.

Frame
The frame and all the stainless steel is made out of 304 stainless and is completely laser cut to our specifications.  We have designed our dual chemical tanks with the size of 16” long, 10” high (not including the cap assembly), and 12” wide with a standard 5” diameter fill cap.   We have incorporated flush mounted inserts in the bottom of the tanks for anchoring purposes.

Sulky
We have also developed our own articulating sulky connector to the main engine deck.  This incorporates 1” i.d., oil light bushings, a turning radius of 50 degrees both left and right.  The sulking articulates 15 degrees before deadheading on safety stops.  We have found this to be the safest weight to degree ratio after extensive CAD profiling and actual field testing.

Overall dimensions of the Pearl are 55” long, 35” wide, 53” high, 43” high with handle bars folded down.

Spray System
The spray system consist of two, eight gallon holding chemical tanks.  Fluid goes from tank one or tank two, flows to the three way positioning valve.  Tank one, or tank two may be selected, or the combination of both tanks may be selected, depending on the user’s preference from the three way positioning valve.  Fluid is then drawn into the pump (pump specifications: 1.8 gpm at 60 psi.) from the three way selector valve.  Chemical then exits the pump under pressure teed into side shot hose and also the drain system.  The drain also has an on and off valve.  If the side shot is not in use and the drain is closed, pressure will continue up to the main or trim selector valve.  At that point the main nozzles may be turned on tank one, two or both can be selected.   Turning the main nozzles off and turning the trim nozzles valve on, will active trim nozzles.  Turning both trim and main nozzles off will active pressure to either left or right side shot assembly.  If side shot is not desired, drain can be activated.  Either right or left side shot can be used with any tank combination.
